Tunable Filters |
Whether the application is commercial mobile wireless or defense/government radio, tunable filters and pre-selectors play a vital role. Covering multiple bands and frequencies traditionally means numerous filters, with each one playing a vital role but adding to the overall complexity of the radio. With the RF spectrum opening wider than ever, communications is taking place from 20MHz all the way up to 3GHz! The number of individual filters needed to cover this spectrum--on one radio--would be enormous.
