Phase Shifters
Paratek has developed and functionally tested a family of high performance passive phase shifter devices that cover 850 MHz to 30 GHz with an insertion loss of ≤ 3 dB, ≈ 10% bandwidth, and ≈ 1 watt input power. The technology also permits the production of devices down to 30 MHz as customer needs arise. These analog, low-loss phase shifters use Paratek’s unique ParaScan ™ tunable capacitors to provide the core functionality for cost-effective Smart Scanning Antennas.
Smart Antennas
Paratek’s Smart Scanning Antennas combine low-loss, passive phase shifters with our expertise in RF front ends, antenna, and control technologies create cutting edge smart, adaptive antennas to meet your network architecture requirements. Design capabilities of these specialized antennas include:
• Reconfigurable beamwidths
• One- or two-dimensional beam scanning
• Single or multiple beams
• Single or dual polarization elements
• Null steering for interference minimization
When optimized to the network architecture, our Smart Scanning Antennas positively impact the wireless communications network through:
• Effective position location and tracking
• Increased capacity
• Increased range
• Improved performance
• Increased flexibility and adaptability
Our antenna designs feature independent, multi-beam, 360º azimuth steering, which will enable your network to quickly locate, communicate with, and track multiple mobile devices. Reconfigurable apertures accommodate a wide or omni-directional acquisition beam and a narrow steerable communications/tracking beam to enable adaptive communication protocols with higher gains resulting in higher data rates and/or extended ranges with lower signal-to-noise ratio for your communications network.
Paratek has developed Smart Scanning Antennas at 900 and 2400 MHz to support the expanding requirements of WLAN, WiMAX, and radio frequency identification applications. |
