Mobile phone antennas can 'de-tune' based on simple ergonomics and environmental conditions. For example, how the phone is held against the head can markedly impact the impedance match. Similarly, how the phone is stored (in a pocket or briefcase, for example) can negatively impact this match. AIMM™ compensates for these variables, which results in a dramatic increase in total radiated power (TRP), link margin, PA linearity,
PA efficiency, and antenna efficiency (gain) combined with a reduction in
overall current consumption.
AIMM™ represents a breakthrough product for Paratek. Market acceptance of AIMM™ has been exceptionally strong, since the technology provides benefits for the entire wireless supply chain...from component makers and handset manufactures to the carriers themselves.
